Newcastle VAR | Havertz Potential Red

During the first half Kai Havertz flew into a challenge on Shaun Longstaff after being agitated during the first half. The aftermath of the challenge resulted in Kai Havertz rightly getting a yellow card after VAR concluded that was acceptable but, 3 Newcastle players also got booked for arguing with the referee.

While the rules do state you can be booked for descent but, it doesn’t look fantastic when a scissor challenge on a Newcastle player concludes with 3 of their own players being booked. Images below.
